has 25 rooms. Choose from the 4 star Ocean Front Rooms with spectacular
views and private balcony, the sanctuary of our new 4 star Garden
Villa's or the recently renovated Heritage rooms.
Kangaroo Island is seven times the size of Singapore, literally crawling
with Wildlife. You will see Kangaroo's hopping near the roadside;
you can get up close with Seals at Seal Bay and see Koala's cuddling
a tree. This is a zoo without fences!
Accommodation
Ocean Front 4 Star
Twelve superior Ocean Front Rooms (6 upstairs, 6 downstairs). Totally
refurbished in December 2006,these 4 star accommodation rooms have
a private balcony for guests to relax overlooking a spectacular view
of the ocean and the main land.
Garden Villa 4 Star
Retreat to the sanctuary of your own brand new, 4 star garden villa,
set amongst our magnificent tropical gardens. Our six freestanding,
1 bed-room villas offer a blend of casual and contemporary design
with separate living areas and private balconies. These fully furnished,
air conditioned rooms offer great flexibility for longer stays.
Heritage Rooms
Four heritage rooms are located upstairs in the original Sorrento
Guest House building. Substantially renovated in October 2008, with
new en-suite bathrooms, furnishings and fittings. These rooms now
have a spacious modern atmosphere. Perfect for longer or shorter stays,
at a value for money price.
Sorrentos Restaurant
After a busy day's touring, sit back, relax, and enjoy the fabulous
ocean view offered by Sorrento's award winning Restaurant. With our
casual, yet inviting atmosphere, a broad range of Kangaroo Island
Wines and simply stunning, regional food - Sorrento's Restaurant is
an experience not to be missed.
Executive chef, Colin Hartford and his kitchen team have taken the
fantastic Kangaroo Island produce and created a menu that has something
for everyone. Our summer menu for 2009 focuses on the wide range of
local product in season, with dishes such as Kangaroo Island Whiting,
Kangaroo Island Marron, and our famous Out-Back Taste which has a
tasting of Kangaroo, Crocodile, and Emu with dipping sauces.
Our alfresco area is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon,
enjoying favourites from our Bistro menu including: Coconut Prawns,
Sweet blue Boston bay Mussels, Aglio Olio Prawns, fish chilli, garlic,
parsley and bread crumbs tossed with spaghetti.
Rounding out the Sorrento's experience is the one-of-a-kind service
brought to you by our Maitre D', Richard Purvis and his unique charm.
Offering a full selection of award winning wines from Kangaroo Island,
as well as small parcels of cellar stock from the mainland Australia,
Richard will guide you to the perfect choice for your meal or discerning
