Around the Bay for a Day
Travel in a small group and explore Port Phillip Bay and its magnificent Peninsulas. This tour takes you through bayside suburbs including St Kilda and Brighton on our way to the Mornington Peninsula.

Visit spectacular Arthur’s Seat for stunning views of Port Philip Bay then to Mornington Peninsula, the home of some of Victoria’s best wines and food for a tasting. This area also abounds in fruit and floral delicacies; we give you the opportunity to experience this through a visit to a berry or lavender farm.

We enjoy lunch at a scenic restaurant at Sorrento, home of Victoria’s first penal settlement in 1802. After lunch, relax and enjoy a 40 minute scenic ferry ride across the bay from Sorrento to Queenscliff. From the water get a unique view of some of Portsea’s mansions and recently rescued National Park. The journey takes us past the entrance to the Bay called the ‘Rip’, where many a sailing vessel met their demise only hours from safe arrival in Melbourne.

Queenscliff is one of our most historic seaside villages and our gateway to the Bellarine Peninsula. Continuing our journey we visit the lighthouse at point Lonsdale where we venture out into the ‘Rip’, this time by foot, along a long wooden pier. Below this lighthouse and set amongst the rocks is a cave of some significance. It was the haven for a very famous convict escapee by the name of William Buckley, who escaped from Sorrento in 1803. Said to be the man behind the saying ‘Buckley’s or none’ he lived in this region with the local aborigines for 32 years.

We travel back towards Melbourne along the Bellarine Peninsula and through Geelong. We stop for afternoon tea overlooking Geelongs ‘Waterfront’ complex, complete with pier, marina and infamous bollards. We arrive back in Melbourne around 1730.

An Evening with Penguins
We drive down the world-renowned boulevard of St Kilda road and once hitting the bay

follow scenic Beach Road around Port Phillip Bay. We have a brief stop in San Remo for afternoon tea, before crossing the bridge to Phillip Island.

We first visit the Phillip Island Wildlife Park, where you are able to see many of the unique Australian animals, and have the opportunity to feed kangaroos, wallabies, wombats while being shown around the park by your guide. A delicious dinner awaits you at a local restaurant on the waterfront in Cowes.

As sunset approaches, we move on to see the famous Little Penguins at the Phillip Island Nature Park. We explore the award winning Visitor Center where informative displays set the scene for the amazing penguin parade. Your experience here is not the standard viewing. We prefer the more personal ‘Penguins Plus’ experience where, in a small group a ranger will talk you through the parade in a restricted area.

After the experience and a warm drink we make an express journey back to Melbourne and your hotel.
