Historic Padthaway Bed and Breakfast South Australia
Padthaway Homestead is a beautiful Victorian guest house situated
in the heart of a 121 acres of vineyard. Guests are offered complimentary
wine tastings at the cellar door. Your hosts Christine and Craig live
in the Homestead so they are always available to help with any queries.
The Homestead is surrounded by spacious gardens and outbuildings from
earlier generations and you can wander or relax to suit your mood.
The Homestead remains beautifully cool in the summer and with open
fireplaces supported by floor heating, the winter months at Padthaway
are always cosy and warm.
Padthaway offers its guests the use of a private T.V.room, billiard
room, drawing room, sunroom and formal dining room.
Accommodation
The Homestead offers six beautifully decorated upstairs bedrooms bedrooms,
each have complimentary toiletries supplied and each bedroom has its
own vanity basin, hair dryer, robes and slippers.
Five of the bedrooms have Queen size beds and the sixth bedroom
has two King size single beds. Each bedroom vanity cupboard contains
a vanity basin, hairdryer, mirror and complimentary toiletries. Rooms
are serviced daily
Iron, ironing board, coffee and tea making facilities are available
in the upstairs utility room.
Upstairs there are two bathroom options. One is completely self-contained
with hand-basin, bath, shower and toilet. The other area is more provincial
and provides 3 separate showers, 2 toilets and 2 hand basins. There
are also two fully self-contained bathrooms downstairs.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in our beautiful sunroom where you will enjoy
a sumptuous feast of breakfast treats. Sit back and enjoy the ambience
created by the tranquil views of the vineyard and grassy glade where
horses wander and the birdlife is abundant.
Dining
Your hosts Christine and Craig make your dining experience a pleasurable
and memorable one.
Christine’s love of fine dining will be sure to entice and Craig has
an extensive knowledge of the wines that would most appropriately
complement your meal.
We are happy to cater for any specific dietary requirements and we
are fully licensed.
