The Punakaiki Rocks Hotel &
Villas, nestled into the foothills of the Paparoa National Park,
approximately halfway between Westport and Greymouth, is a modern,
award-winning hotel complex, architecturally designed to harmonise
with the local environment.
Magnificent ocean-front
location, with spectacular views of wild West Coast beaches, all
rooms have rainforest and/or ocean views.
Walk to the nearby Punakaiki
pancake rocks and Punakaiki settlement. Enjoy beach and river
walks, guided walks into the Paparoa National Park, caving, horse
treks, gentle river kayaking, and local arts/crafts all available
within minutes of the hotel.
All rooms are environmentally
friendly and feature energy efficient design and materials. Choose
from 63 rooms (12 luxury eco units, 31 deluxe rooms, and 20 luxury
standard rooms) to suit your taste and budget. Rooms are spaced
around the landscaped grounds to ensure privacy, and are linked by
a series of suspended board walks.
Seascape Restaurant & Bar is
located right on the beachfront, with fantastic views of the beach
and the wild Tasman Sea. Both the bar and restaurant feature open
log fires. Open from 7:00 am daily, we offer great breakfasts,
lunches and dinner to suit a variety of tastes.
Punakaiki Resort offers two
styles of accommodation; Standard Resort Rooms / Suites and
Eco-Suites. The rooms are designed in harmony with the local
environment and have either ocean or rainforest views. All rooms
are positioned to maintain a sense of privacy and seclusion.

Slightly more spacious than our Standard Resort Rooms, these
luxury suites are eco-friendly with ocean and/or rainforest views.
The suites have been designed and built to have minimal impact on
the environment.
