One of the most spectacularly located Bed & Breakfast
accommodation houses in New Zealand.
Central to the West Coast is the area around
Greymouth and Punakaiki. Here you will find popular attractions such
as Shanty Town, the Pancake Rocks and the scenic Coast Road (Highway
6) It is along this road, 14kms north from Greymouth, that you
find the “Breakers” Guests comments, made in the visitor’s
book, consistently highlight three special features of “The
Breakers” – Incredible views, wonderful meals and warm hospitality.
Your hosts are Jan and Stephen,
with the help of their two faithful companions Jed and Nico (the
family dogs). Jan and Stephen are both passionate about the
region and Stephen is a born and breed West Coaster. There is much
to see and do on the coast with the lush rain forest and the
ever-changing Tasman Sea. The "family" are keen hikers and
mountain bikers, and are constantly exploring the area and love to
pass their knowledge and experiences on to their guests and are
happy to suggest a number of activities available in the area to
suit your level of fitness and skill.
Featuring 3 rooms and 2 suites,
all with ensuite facilities and sea views. A quality dinner is
available (with notice) and will include a good New Zealand wine.
A private track to the beach allows easy access for guests to look
for pounamu (jade) and pretty stones. There is a wide selection of
attractions and activities close to us and we will be delighted to
provide advice for your visit to our area.

GARDEN ANNEX ROOMS - SUNSET ROOM &
DRIFTWOOD ROOM
There are two
ground floor rooms closer to the sea that have magnificent views
over Mussel Point and the Tasman Sea. Inspired by the traditional
seaside “bach” (holiday cottage), the Sunset and Driftwood rooms
both offer a large bedroom and lounge area, lobby area for luggage
and a lovely en suite with shower. Other features include a
generous balcony with outdoor seating that has a westerly aspect
from which our gorgeous sunsets can be observed.
