Built in 1901 from native Kauri,
this Christchurch Bed and Breakfast, Chestnuts on Holly (formerly
known as Villa Victoria), has been authentically restored and
reflects elegance and charm. Three rooms are available; two double
and one single - all with ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast is served
in the formal dining room or during summer on the veranda
overlooking the picturesque private garden.

Bay Room
This is a spacious bedroom with several large windows overlooking
the guests’ garden and patio. The room is lovely and warm in
winter and deliciously cool in summer. There is also a Heat
Pump/Air Conditioner in the room for added comfort. There is a
relaxing couch in the bay window. The Queen bed is extremely
comfortable with wool fleece underlay and electric blanket. The
en-suite bathroom has an old foot and claw style bath and a
shower.
Verandah Room
The sunny Verandah room has large windows overlooking the
picturesque private garden with a door opening onto the verandah.
The room is large but still warm in the winter and cool in the
summer with a Heat Pump/Air Conditioner in the room for extra
comfort. There is a very comfortable Queen bed with a wool
fleece underlay and electric blanket. It has an en-suite bathroom
with a shower only.
Lemon Room
The cosy Lemon room is tastefully furnished with a delightful
double bed with wool underlay and electric blanket. The room is
warm in the winter but lovely and cool in the summer. It has an
en-suite bathroom with a shower only.
Delectable breakfasts are a
speciality using fresh, local, seasonal produce served in the
formal dining room or during summer on the verandah overlooking
the picturesque private garden.
