Fletcher Lodge Dunedin Bed & Breakfast New
Zealand
Located just a few minutes walk
from the hub of Dunedin city, Fletcher Lodge offers luxury
accommodation in an atmosphere of restrained elegance while
providing the ultimate in contemporary comfort and modern
facilities.
Nestled in a secluded,
established garden the lodge is conveniently located within
minutes of many of the city's finest and most popular cafes and
restaurants.
Built by Sir James Fletcher in
1924 to serve as his private residence whilst he oversaw the
construction of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition complex,
this historic property was aptly named by its previous owners.
Guests are welcome to relax at
any time in the impressive, richly paneled Oak room. On cooler
evenings relax in front of the fire and enjoy a complimentary
port.
Breakfast is served each morning
on fine china and silverware in the impressive Wedgwood Room. This
usually consists of fresh orange juice, a selection of cereals,
yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, fresh-baked croissants, a selection of
toasts, gourmet conserves, fresh coffee and various teas. Also
available are eggs, either poached or scrambled with Danish smoked
bacon served on English muffins.
