Q & A: Wine Tours with Devine Tours Marlborough
How is your tour different?
We are the experts. We are not just bus drivers taking you from tasting room to
tasting room.
Can it be a private tour?
Sure, we charge $150 extra.
It may not be possible if it's a late booking.
I’m by myself.
If we have other clients, you just pay for one, otherwise you need to pay for
two.
I’m not a big wine connoisseur
Perfect, we can pitch the tour at whatever level you are comfortable with. We
will entertain, inform, and show you around the area.
I’m right into my wine.
Perfect, we know where to take you, so you see, try, learn and enjoy the most in
the time you have.
I can’t taste wine all day
On most tours we achieve about 4 to 5 tastings in a 7 hour tour which includes
lunch. We really enjoy showing you the other aspects of the industry and the
area. Unless you are an experienced wine taster this works out to be a good
balance. We operate quite differently than the traditional tasting tour.
I only have ½ a day.
Fine, we can give you a condensed tour. Because of our knowledge and low numbers
of clients on the tour, it will still be informative and enjoyable. This is only
available if we have no clients on a day tour. We would be very reluctant to try
and add a ½ day tour into other clients on a whole day tour.
How much walking can we do?
As much, or as little as you are comfortable with.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
We can still offer what you require, walking may be restricted.
I have special diet needs.
No problem, just need to know when you book the tour.
Are you handicap people friendly?
In most cases, although we may need some warning, and some extra costs may be
incurred.
What about Children?
No problem, you may need to be treated as a private tour. Only exception is, if
infant seats need special “in” vehicle attachments.
