 Guided
visits to the Milford Discovery Centre are available
as an “add-on” with the below Milford Sound Daytime &
Overnight Cruises (bookings essential, extra cost). Due to
the delayed return, this option may not be available to
passengers travelling by Real Journeys coach or plane.
After an informative introductory talk, you will descend to the
underwater viewing chamber to observe the fascinating corals,
anemones, sponges, sea horses and fish species in their natural
habitat.

Passengers can visit the Milford Discovery Centre on the return
leg of the
10:40hrs and 13.25hrs cruises (Nov – Mar),
10.30hrs and 13.35hrs cruise (Oct & Apr),
12:30hrs cruise (Oct – Apr)
12.55hrs cruise (May – Sep).

Milford Mariner & Milford Wanderer overnight cruises for
self drive to Milford Sound only The Milford Discovery Centre is treated as an add-on and
charged accordingly. Following the visit, passengers are returned
by water taxi to the Milford Boat Harbour arriving approximately
30 minutes later than the scheduled return time for their Milford
Sound cruise.
NOTE: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ADD ON A MILFORD DISCOVERY CENTRE
VISIT FOR THOSE PASSENGERS ON REAL JOURNEYS SCHEDULED EXCURSION BY
COACH OR PLANE EX QUEENSTOWN AND TE ANAU DUE TO COACHES AND
AIRCRAFT DEPARTING MILFORD FOR QUEENSTOWN AND TE ANAU IMMEDIATELY
