Day 1 - Arrive Adelaide
Playford Hotel Adelaide Explore the city's museum and galleries or walk along the Torrens River and visit the vast indoor Central City Market where abundant fresh produce is on offer 5 days a week. For an outdoors experience close to the city go to the dramatic Morialta Conservation Park with picturesque waterfalls and walking trails.
Day 2 - Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
Kangaroo on Kangaroo Island Take a flight today to Kangaroo Island. Large areas of this island are designated parks and reserves for scenic and wildlife preservation. Australian Sea Lions, New Zealand fur seals, koala and a large population of  Tammar wallabies and kangaroos all call this island home. This evening, visit the nearby colony of Little Blue Penguins.
Day 3 - Full day Kangaroo Island
Remarkables Rocks Kangaroo Island Tour the islands attractions including the fabulous rock formations in the Flinders Chase National Park, visit a fur seal colony and learn about Kangaroo Island's maritime heritage and lighthouse stations. With a quarter of the island is conserved in National Parks, Conservation Parks, and five Wilderness Protection Areas there are many wonderful natural places in this splendid location.
Day 4 - Kangaroo Island to Clare Valley
Jim Barry Winery Clare Valley Australia Return to Adelaide today and then travel by rental 4x4 to the Clare Valley, one of South Australia's premier wine regions. For the true wine enthusiast a marginally longer route can also include the Barrossa.
Day 5 - Clare Valley
Winery Platter Clare Valley The Clare Valley has a wonderful selection of cellar doors to visit and vineyard restaurants where you can match the delightful wines with a sumptuous lunch or dinner. Walk or cycle a section of rail trail known as the Riesling Trail or try the Riverton Trails south of Auburn.
Day 6 - Clare Valley to Flinders Ranges
Flinders Ranges National Park A day of contrasts as you travel from the prolific vineyards of the Clare to the near barren outpost town of Hawker and then on to Wilpena Pound. The pound is a natural rock formation that forms a natural amphitheatre, a basin on the inside and virtually sheer cliffs on the outside. Gorges, waterholes and lookouts provide picturesque destinations for day trips. Wildlife is abundant and you can be sure of some close encounters.
Day 7 - Full day Flinders Ranges
Wilpena Pound Flinders Ranges Start the day with a stunning scenic flight, see Wilpena Pound, Arkaba Station, Elder Range, Edeowie Gorge, Heysen Range, Lake Torrens, Bunyeroo Gorge, Brachina Gorge, The Backbone of the Flinders, St Mary’s Peak and the Pound Gap. Then off to explore a  broad range of walking trails cater to most levels of fitness. From the relatively flat 'walk across the pound' to the challenging track up Mt Olsen Bagge.   Learn about the fascinating history of the pound with a visit to the Wilpena Station where you can stroll around the preserved historic station buildings.
Day 8 - Full day Flinders Ranges
Russell biking Flinders Ranges Take a  "Corridors through time" four wheel drive tour to the Flinders Ranges more remote locations. This afternoon tour takes you on a geological journey through the Flinders Ranges National Park. You will enjoy the beauty of Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges and the Aroona Valley, see views that have inspired artists such as Sir Hans Heysen and observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. Catch a glimpse of the rare yellow-footed rock wallaby.
Day 9 - Flinders Ranges to Adelaide
Burra Bandstand Farewell to the Flinders and back to the city today. Travel via Orroroo, and the picturesque town of Burra with its well preserved 19th century town square. Visit the historic Burra Copper Mine or take a history trail around the town, before finishing the day back in Adelaide.
Day 10 - Adelaide and depart
