Day 1 - Arrive Ayers Rock
Sounds of Silence Dinner Arrive into Ayers Rock airport to begin your quintessential outback encounter. Desert landscapes that change with every nuance of daylight and what better way to take advantage of this than an outdoor dining experience within sight of magnificent Ayers Rock as the sun goes down.
Day 2 - Ayers Rock
Aboriginal Painting Uluru Morning 4 wheel drive 'Desert Awakenings Tour' Experience the tranquility of the pre-dawn land as the desert awakens. At a private dune top viewing area, your traditional bushman's breakfast is prepared over the fire.Visit the Anangu Cultural Centre, a vibrant and engaging place of learning where the local lore of the Anangu (Aboriginal people) is explained in detail. This is followed by a short walk into Mutitjulu waterhole a powerful and spiritual place for visitors and Anangu alike. Afternoon Tour - Kata Tjuta and Dunes Tour. Visit the mystic domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Take 1km guided walk through beautiful Olga Gorge. Afterwards the tour retreats to witness another brilliant sunset at Kata Tjuta while you sip complimentary champagne.
Day 3 - Ayers Rock
Desert Awakenings Ayers Rock Take the morning Uluru Walk, a 9.4 km guided walk around the entire base of the Uluru. This provides an opportunity to best understand Uluru's natural and cultural significance. Your guide will introduce you to its geology and describe how plants and wildlife have adapted and survived in such a forbidding environment. Most fascinating is learning the relationship of the Anangu people to Uluru.
Day 4 - Ayers Rock to Kings Canyon
Tali Wiru Dinner Ayers Rock Departing from Ayers Rock by coach in the early afternoon arrive at Kings Canyon late afternoon. The Kings Canyon Resort also offers the opportunity for an outdoor dining experience (only 8 spaces available each evening), with their Sound of Firelight Dinner, beginning with champagne at sunset. Dine under the twinkling stars by the glow of a crackling fire.
Day 5 - Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Kings Canyon This morning explore Kings Canyon along either the Rim Walk or the less challenging Creek Walk. Kings Canyon features ancient sandstone walls, sculptured by the elements, rising up 100m to a plateau of rocky domes. It features rockholes and gorges that act as a refuge for many plants and animals.Depart Kings Canyon by coach early afternoon and arrive Alice Springs early evening.
Day 6 - Alice Springs
McDonnel Ranges Alice Springs A full day tour to take in the West MacDonnell Ranges including stops at some of the wonderfully picturesque gaps and gorges. Following a delicious picnic lunch spend time at the Desert Park where you can learn about the desert flora and fauna. Watch the free-flying birds of prey demonstrate their survival skills and view the creatures of the night in the Nocturnal House.
Day 7 - Alice Springs and end trip
