Day 1 - Arrive Melbourne
Melbourne Tram Situated on the Yarra River the city of Melbourne is an intriguing mix of  ultra modern and classic architectural styles. The Australian Gold Rush heaped wealth upon the city that is still evident today. The tram system adds character and the diverse cultural mix of Melbourne's residents assures a restaurant to suit every taste.
Day 2 - Full day Melbourne
Melbourne Town Hall A full day to explore Melbourne, often called the "Paris of the South Pacific" Melbourne offers visitors fine architecture, museums, galleries, interesting shopping lanes and a wide range of dining. Day 3 - Full day Melbourne - Yarra Valley

Day 4 - Full day Melbourne - Wildlife

On this naturalist-guided ecotour, spend the morning in the famous grasslands and around the billabongs of our Open-range Sanctuary in the company of hundreds of wild Kangaroos, dozens of Emus and many species of birds.
Day 5 - Melbourne to Lorne
Great Ocean Road Travel south west from Melbourne to join the Great Ocean Road. Pass through the seaside towns of Torquay, Anglesea and to the stylish seaside village of Lorne. Thanks to its fresh sea air, white beaches and buzzing arts community along with the nearby Otways and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, Lorne has been attracting eager holidaymakers for more than a century. Discover the Erskine Falls cascading into a beautiful fern gully, one of ten waterfalls within ten minutes of town. Wander down Lorne's main shopping strip filled with boutique gift stores, cellars, eateries and galleries.
Day 6 - Full day based Lorne
Erskine Falls LorneLorne is a very popular beach side town, cafes and boutiques line Mountjoy Parade, creating a Mediterranean feel to the area. The towns wide foreshore area extends down to the sandy beach, sheltered swimming is available at the mouth of the Erskine River.

But there's more to Lorne than just the beach. The Otway Ranges form an attractive backdrop to Lorne, with the Great Otway National Park offering many bushwalking tracks. The spectacular Erskine Falls are located within the park, just 8 kilometres west of town.
Day 7 - Lorne to Port Fairy
12 ApostlesToday the hills of the Otway Ranges provide a dramatic backdrop to the fabulous coastal scenery. Practice your Koala spotting skills around the Wye and Kennet River settlements.Spend time exploring this stunning region, short bush walking in Maits Rest an easy 40 metre boardwalk through a beautiful fern gully, hike part of the Great Ocean Road Walk and exploring local beaches. Head out to Cape Otway and visit the lighthouse built in 1858 and standing on a cliff 100 metres above sea level. This section of the Great Ocean Road is where you will find the iconic features - The Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge. So allow time to include photo stops. Later in the day enjoy a stroll around the picturesque historic streets of Port Fairy
Day 8 - Full day Port Fairy
Moyne River Port Fairy Port Fairy is a historic fishing town located the Moyne river, many early buildings remain in the town's commercial centre along Bank Street and Sackville Street. For bird watchers Griffiths Island is linked to the coast via a pedestrian causeway. The island is home to a large colony of mutton birds, at the eastern end of the island is the Port Fairy Lighthouse. There is a walking track around the island and there are some lovely secluded beaches to enjoy. Port Fairy has an attractive Botanic Gardens established in 1858.

Nearby is the attractive town of Koroit and Tower Hill National Park, an extinct volcano and part of the UNESCO-endorsed Kanawinka Geopark. Tower Hill is home to koalas, kangaroos, emus and many bird species. A number of walks, picnic areas and public facilities are located within the Reserve.
Day 8 - Port Fairy to Melbourne
Ballarat city buildings Morning drive returning to Melbourne via the inland route and the historic gold mining city of Ballarat. Ballarat city retains much of its rich gold heritage in the form of opulent buildings, fountains, and tourist attractions which celebrate the city's history. Notable buildings include Ballarat's Town Hall (built between 1870 and 1872), Her Majesty's Theatre (1875) and Craig's Hotel which was built in several stages between 1853 and 1891. Sovereign Hill is a recreated gold township of the 1850s where you can experience life in that era. The Eureka Centre is situated close to the site of the 1854 Eureka Stockade Rebellion where miners and officials engaged in a bloody battle over miner's rights.
Day 9 - Melbourne and depart
Depart for home.
